These plans are very easy to follow, and very self explanatory.

If you take your time and shop around you should be able to build this go-kart for a very reasonable price. You don't have to be an expert at this. If I can build one, anyone can. It took me about 3 months to build this kart but it's because I didn't have that much time. I didn't buy any new parts for this go-kart I was able to find everything I needed at junk yards, garage sales, and in the backyard. You'll have fun with this project. The Go Kart will not look like the one below, but will turn out very nice.
